Ingredients
- 4 oz. blue cheese, crumbled 125 g
- 2 Tbsp. butter 30 mL
- 2 Tbsp. brandy 30 mL
- ¼ CUP coarsely chopped walnuts 60 mL
- 16 ½" (1.3 cm) baguette slices
- 1 ripe pear, thinly sliced
Instructions
- Soften cheese and butter. Mash with fork until smooth. Stir brandy and walnuts into cheese mixture.
- Place baguette slices on cookie sheet. Toast 1 side under broiler. (Keep an eye on them as they will toast quickly!)
- Turn and place pear slice on untoasted side.
- Top with teaspoonful of cheese mixture.
- Broil 4-5" (10-13 cm) from heat for about 2 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly. Serves 8.
